Mission of the Job: Mechanical design of satellite mechanisms, scientific payloads, mechanical ground support equipment.

Main activities:
Identification of system concepts and technical requirements to comply with the mission statement, taking into account the technical and programmatic constraints identified by the project initiator and top level customer.
General layout definition by concurrent engineering in terms of configurations, materials, off-the-shelf components, etc.
Base thermal and / or mechanical trade-offs.
Release of contractual documentation for the relevant milestones (documents, drawings, technical budgets, etc) and take part of progress review with customers and suppliers.
Critical assessment of mechanical drawings of assemblies and parts.

Competences:
Education/Training: University Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering only, achieved with top score.

Languages:

Italian (mother tongue);
English (fluent written and spoken)

Ability to work well under pressure.

Experience :
2 Years experience (minimum) in mechanical design and development of high precision and complex units for extreme environment.
Experience in structural design of units and components supported by hand calculations and FEM analyses.
3D CAD solid modelling to support conceptual design.
Concurrent engineering of configurations, materials, thermal-mechanical trade-offs, off-the-shelf components, etc.
Development and qualification activities management (planning, milestones keeping, meetings participation).
Development and qualification test activities (mechanical and thermal environments loads).
Release of contractual reports, participation to meetings.

 

Tool or product requirements:
Use of standard methods for design of aerospace structures and components.
FEM analyses: linear, non-linear, thermal stress, dynamic.
CAE tools: MSC Patran / Nastran, Catia V5.
Excellent use of office automation software (MS office)
Excellent understanding of Internet and email use

 

Languages:
Italian (mother tongue);
English (fluent written and spoken)

Mission of the Job: Structural analysis in aerospace and automotive field.

Main activities:
Linear and Non linear finite element analysis for motor sport engine to support developing activities of our main customers. Linear finite element analysis in aerospace field including dynamic analysis (random vibration, shock, normal mode, etc.). Structural report identifying critical issues and design solution to solve them.
Support of internal design and testing activities.

 

Competences:
Education/Training: University Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering only, achieved with top score.

 

Experience :
2 Years experience (minimum) in structural analysis of mechanical units and components supported by hand calculations and finite elemen analyses (linear and non-linear).
3D CAD solid modelling to support conceptual design.

 

Tool or product requirements:
